Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has recently made an important disclosure at the launch event of his new book ‘I Have the Streets – A Kutty Cricket Story’.
In this event, he told that his goal as a young cricketer was to get the approval of MS Dhoni.
Ashwin told that it took him a long time to get the attention of MS Dhoni in his cricket career till 2008.

He was selected by Chennai Super Kings in 2008, but he did not know about Dhoni in the first season of IPL. He improved his skills during this time and worked hard to realize his goal.
Ashwin told, “For me, taking the wicket of MS Dhoni became a dream from 2009. I bowled incredibly in the Challenger Trophy in Nagpur and got him out in the final. From then on, Dhoni started seeing the skill in me and our relationship became strong.”
After this, he made his place in the IPL and became a part of the CSK team from 2010. He made a significant contribution to Chennai Super Kings and helped them win their first IPL title.
Ashwin also spoke about his relationship with Dhoni, “Dhoni is a believer and he trusts you. Once he feels you are a horse, he is very interested in watching you practice.”

Ashwin joined India Cements earlier this year and is also set to take charge of the Chennai Super Kings High Performance Center. The way is clear for him to return to CSK next season.
